transitio.index.prepare_suggestions(*, index=None)

Build the sorted labels suggest() reads, ahead of the first call.

The build takes seconds over a whole catalogue, so a server pays it at startup rather than on a user’s first keystroke; a later call is free. Returns the index prepared (the active one when none is given).
